Avant Announces Merger with Forward Business Solutions

On September 1st, 2010, Avant IT Consulting, Inc. was purchased by Forward Business Solutions, creating a comprehensive IT and web services organization in Greater Binghamton.

Forward Business Solutions, an IT solutions and service company servicing clients for over a decade, announced the acquisition and integration of the Avant IT Consulting staff to complement and expand their existing infrastructure. Forward Business Solutions primary markets focus on the healthcare markets, where the company provides sales support and onsite and contractual IT services.

Avant IT Consulting focuses on the small- and medium-business (SMB) markets providing IT support and website development services to many brand-name clients throughout the region. The acquisition gives FBS a strong position in these markets and beyond, and enhances the service provided to clients by both companies with their enhanced combined resources. 

FBS is led by Brian Hunsinger, and leading the Avant IT Consulting team is Douglas Camin, who will assume the role of Director of IT Consulting and Business Development. The combined business will maintain the Avant IT Consulting brand name, domain, and marketing literature along with the Forward Business Solutions name.
