Lourdes Hospital has a new Avant-designed Website

Lourdes Hospital, a major healthcare system serving the Greater Binghamton region, and a part of the Ascension Health group, recently launched a major redesigned of their website, done with Avant IT's help.

We have had the pleasure of having Lourdes as a client for a number of years, helping them navigate the waters of website design philosophy - what to add, how to engage social media and other tools, and more - but in the last year, we have been working together to completely redesign their website from both the inside and out. 

The Lourdes website was last redesigned in 2005, and was due for a refresh. In addition, the variety of social media tools including Facebook, YouTube, and more, had become very important communication mediums. Starting with the back end - the part you don't see - we began the process of modernizing and updating Lourdes website. We built their major website on the same content management and development platform that we encourage all of our customers from smallest to largest to use. This resulted in significant increases in speed and manageability, a big plus.

Next, we set out to tackle the site design. We specifically worked to incorporate tools such as Facebook, YouTube, and other communication mediums such as a blog chronicling the construction progress of their major expansion project.
