Previous Work History
Drew has spent nearly three decades in the computer and technology industry starting in the Greater Boston area. He spent a decade as a consulting engineer at Wang Laboratories doing extensive work on phone systems design, networks including microwave communications and others. He also spent time at Twixtel and Data General corporation in the early 1990s before becoming Worldwide Telecommunications Manager for the Shiva Corporation, a startup that designed remote access solutions for corporations. His experience here - nearly a decade and supervising a $4 million dollar budget - gave him extensive experience connection and maintaining the systems for a large multi-million dollar corporation. His time included designing and building data centers, connecting dozens of disparate sites and offices across the globe, and working with and negotiating for the corporation with vendors and others and working on the senior management team.
Since moving to the Greater Binghamton area with his family for work - his wife is a Binghamton University professor - he has spent time raising their family and founded his own private consulting business, Deskur Consulting, handling the needs off professional offices throughout the region over the last eight years. The clients he has serviced include lawyers, doctors, and large corporations such as United Health Services among others.
