Work Experience
Prior to returning to the Greater Binghamton area, Eric spent many years in Rochester. His first career position was with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers), where he serviced a diverse client base from banking to bio-tech.
Eric left the public accounting field to take a financial position with a local independent telephone company. While at the private telephone company Eric had the opportunity to participate in the open market hearings for the telephone industry in Albany, help the telephone company launch their own branded long distance subsidiary, and lead the RFP process on a large scale accounting and billing platform, as well as direct the selection of the platform.
After assisting in the successful sale of that company to a national player, Eric returned to the Binghamton area to join the Stakmore management team. Eric has helped lead Stakmore in a technology overhaul, migrating the company from an AS/400-based accounting and management system to a PC-centric system and subsequently implementing a new email, website and financial platform. In October 2006 Eric purchased Stakmore and is the company’s sole shareholder.
In Eric’s work experience he has gained a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and QuickBooks accounting packages. His work as an auditor at Coopers and Lybrand has given him a healthy understanding of corporate financial software platforms as well as the expectations of what the packages can and should be able to provide a client.
Eric utilizes his years of experience in public accounting and in business to help clients make sense of how technology and software can help improve efficiency and reduce costs in the Financial and back office areas of a business.
