Previous Work History
Greg has spent the last decade performing various work as an IT consultant. His first IT related job involved working as a consultant doing work on then-new computerized video-security systems in the Virginia Beach area. He then began his own consulting services business after a move to Arlington, Texas which he ran for several years before moving out of the area.
After moving to the Binghamton region, Greg joined a large value-added reseller and spent nearly five years progressively enhancing his skills and doing consulting work, becoming the company's chief engineer in 2008. During this time, he managed infrastructure for clients and the internal business, including a full-scale web and email hosting operation where security and reliability were paramount objectives.
Selection of Notable Recent Projects
Spent over a year on contractual assignment for one of the Binghamton-areas largest defense-based contractors in Owego, addressing help desk issues, deploying and upgrading systems, and was selected to regularly do work for senior management calls due to work ethic and reliability. (2005 - 2006)
Maintained and enhanced the network infrastructure of the Binghamton-area Catholic school system, networking over a half-dozen disparate sites into a single, centrally administered Active Directory system to simplify administration and reduce ongoing administrative costs. (2007 - 2009)
Worked with and performed migration of internal web and email hosting infrastructure for client to new virtualization and hosting technologies supporting over 100 clients web sites and email services, a mission-critical application infrastructure. Additionally provided real-time web development troubleshooting and assistance to many of the same customer base for their hosting needs. (2008)
