His experience in industry includes launching a local web portal in the mid-1990s that was later sold to an Internet start-up and founding and running an web design services business in the early part of this decade.

Previous Work History

Prior to coming to work for Avant, Robert has had a long, successful history in the technology business. He helped found regional website tier.net in 1995 - before regional or Internet portals became popular - and sheparded the business through growth and eventual sale to a newly created Dot Com business in 2000. After that, he started a new development-focused business in Binghamton, Upstate Internet Services, which he successfully sold in 2006. He has dedicated the last several years to focusing specifically on development of websites utilizing cutting-edge development tools such as ASP.Net and web application frameworks, and is one of the regions pre-eminent web programmers. 

Selection of Notable Recent Projects

Created the back-end content management system for local hospital system - a site that receives thousands of visitors per day, and uses multiple departments and people to keep up to date. (2006)

Created sophisticated rapid-application-development project to enable content management system for a New York City-based advertising firm reselling websites to clients across the country. The system created is utilized by nearly 70 websites and allows the advertising firm to have unified back-end management, a significant enhancement from their previous system. (2007)
